There are very few ways to dive the Mussandam and the Quoin Islands. I choose to join the friends of Martin and Lisa Tyrer and dive with them on their special Dhow trips once a month. This involves joining an elite group of highly qualified middle east veteran divers who know exactly what they are doing,
The only other way is to book the entire Dhow with The African and Oriental Travel Company http://www.orientafricatravel.com and do the same trip. I would say this as we own OATC , and we don’t do this as we have no demand. So we simply dive with Martin and Lisa!
Bear in Mind the Mussandam is not for sissies, the accommodation is on a bare bones dhow and the diving requires competence and strength. The rewards however are infinite.
