Few people shoot film anymore, but after an awe inspiring lecture on collage photography by Jim Hellerman, I decided to break out the old Nikonos 5 and 21mm lens. The results in the Musandam Peninsula have been enormous fun. While this will not take over from my normal digital underwater cameras, I will be using more film, as the discipline it teaches you is quite something. And yes that is a whale shark.
If you would like to visit the Musandam peninsula and dive some of the more out of the way dive sites, you’ll need to go on a two to four day liveaboard dhow. This is a basic vessel and is organised by the African and Oriental Travel Company. http://www.orientafricatravel.com
